Alanna Howard is a first-year Sustainable Tourism Master’s student at North Carolina State University. Her work focuses on destination assessment initiatives to empower communities to prevent over-tourism and increase local entrepreneurism. She has a decade of experience in digital marketing in the B2B and B2C space. Her research and consulting interests include food tourism, hospitality, and micro-entrepreneurism. Outside of working full-time in digital marketing and the graduate degree pursuit, she teaches ESL to adults. An avid traveler she documents trips and plans custom trips for clients through her travel consulting business, Napkin Maps Travel.
