Maria studied Food Chemistry in Mexico and Chemistry and Environmental Biology in Denmark. After working as a teacher in Mexico for a couple of years, she decided it was time to change. The result is that she is now a proud second-year student at the Master in Italian Food and Wine at the University of Padova.
Her interests are sustainability, the gastronomic heritage of Latin America, and Food Tourism as a factor for rural development. Maria is now using her background as a teacher in her new role as Training Assistant at the WFTA.
