Ana Roš – After the Rain the Sun Always Comes

In this episode, we speak with Ana Roš. A self-taught cook, Ana is a chef who expresses the seasons, her region, her character and her femininity through her cooking. She’s the chef and owner of Hiša Franko, a 2 Michelin star restaurant located in Slovenia, and one of the leading restaurants in the world. In 2017, she was awarded the world’s best female chef by Restaurant magazine. And in 2021, her restaurant was awarded the 21st best in the world by the 50 best restaurants list. In the same year, Ana ranked seventh in the Best Chef Awards list as the only woman in the top 10. Because of her work, chef Ana Roš was named the ambassador of gastronomic tourism at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

In this episode, number 68, of The Business of Food Travel podcast, we speak with Fred Lizée. Fred is a tourism industry professional from France. He has been working in responsible adventure travel for 15 years, with professional experiences in Europe, Asia and Australia. He is passionate about outdoor expeditions, community travel and disruptive tourism projects. To that end, he created his own competition called the New Explorer Challenge to help train international students on the subject of sustainable adventure tourism. As you probably have guessed, Fred loves to travel and has visited 72 countries already.
