The Food Tourism Industry Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Food Travel Association is a prestigious recognition of our industry's most exceptional professionals.

ABOUT THE AWARD

We first introduced the Award in 2020 to recognize exceptional individuals who have made profound, long-lasting contributions to the food and beverage tourism industry. Awards are given only when a suitable candidate is presented. Candidates can be  nominated by other industry professionals. The Association’s leadership and select other industry leaders deliberate the nominees. There is no fee to apply, nor are any fees payable by the winner.

For his significant work in culinary tourism product development and strategy in Ireland, as well as his general thought leadership in the gastronomy tourism field around the world.

Roberta Garibaldi (Italy, 2022)

For her significant contributions to gastronomy tourism both in Italy and beyond, as well as ongoing research into olive oil tourism, and culinary consumer behavior.

Harold Partain (USA, 2021)

For his significant contribution to the development of the culinary tourism industry, as well as contributions in the early years of the World Food Travel Association. His expertise in travel agency and tour operator management was legendary.
