WHO ARE OUR AMBASSADORS?
Our Ambassadors help us to preserve and promote culinary cultures through hospitality and tourism. They serve as key connections between our Association and destinations worldwide, passionately raising awareness of their local culinary culture. Ambassadors foster collaborations and identify synergies between private and public sectors within their destinations and our organization.

AMBASSADOR BENEFITS
Certified ambassadors of our Association enjoy the following benefits during your term:
- Monthly networking and knowledge sharing Ambassador meetings hosted by industry founder Erik Wolf
- Use of “ambassador” title in all of your social media properties
- Listing as an Ambassador on our website
- Access to private Ambassador discussion group
- Act as official Association representative or speaker at trade shows, conferences and media interviews
- Media referrals for interviews
- Work together to plan a FoodTreX Regional Food Travel Summit in your area
- Work together to hold a seminar, webinar, roundtable or training for professionals in your area.
Ambassadors who lose their status, or who resign, or who let their memberships expire, will lose access to the above benefits.
AMBASSADOR DUTIES
Our Ambassadors perform any or all of the following tasks:
- Serve as a liaison between our organization and the food, beverage, tourism and hospitality industries in your area -- you work in your own language, your own time zone and your own culture
- Distribute news and other information from our organization in your area (may need to be translated before distribution)
- Serve as a contact between our Association and media in your area
- Share content about your destination's culinary culture - we may post it on our website and share on social media
- Identify and support gastronomy tourism development projects in your area, and recommend the best ways we can work together
- Volunteer on an Association committee
- Hold a FoodTreX Regional Food Travel Summit in your area
- Hold a round table meeting, seminar or training session for professionals in your area
How to become an AMBASSADOR
To become an Ambassador, you must first be a premium member of our GastroTerra community. Start by
joining as a free member here. After logging in,
follow these instructions to upgrade to the professional level. Once you have upgraded, contact us to express your interest in becoming an Ambassador. We encourage you to be active in the GastroTerra community to demonstrate your commitment. If we believe you are a good fit, we will invite you to enroll in the required Ambassador training, which is free of charge. Upon completing the training, you will immediately start enjoying your Ambassador benefits.

What do Ambassadors do?
Ambassadors serve as the Association’s local voice in their country or region. They promote its programs, build community, share opportunities, and help spread awareness of food and beverage tourism best practices. They also share news from their regions at the global level through the Association's news channels.
Who can become an Ambassador?
Tourism professionals, culinary experts, entrepreneurs, educators, and other leaders passionate about food and beverage tourism are encouraged to apply. Ambassadors must be well-connected and actively engaged in their local community.
What are the benefits of being an Ambassador?
Ambassadors receive professional recognition, networking opportunities, global visibility, and early access to initiatives and events from the World Food Travel Association—the global leader in culinary tourism.
How can I apply to be an Ambassador?
Interested individuals can apply through opening a support ticket on the World Food Travel Association’s website. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected candidates are onboarded with training and support resources.
