IMPARTIAL

Our inspectors act as impartial third parties that conduct the reviews using our guidelines.

In collaboration with our strategic partner, Culinary Heritage Network, we now offer certifications for a range of businesses that preserve or promote culinary culture or heritage. To conduct the certifications, a select group of our Association's ambassadors have been trained as culinary heritage inspectors.

If there is no ambassador of our Association near you, we can arrange to make a special trip to inspect 10 or more businesses at the same time.


All inspections are fully transparent. We will tell you the criteria we use for grading before our scheduled appointment. There are no surprise visits and no secret lists of criteria.

BUSINESS CERTIFICATION

The following business types are eligible to apply for certification (terms and conditions apply):


  1. Food and beverage producers and processors.  Businesses that make products with ingredients from the local area
  2. Restaurants, cafes, hotels & caterers. Using majority local products and showcasing local dishes
  3. Primary producers. Agricultural, aquacultural and horticultural products originating in the local area
  4. Food markets, retailers & wholesalers. Selling a variety of locally-made products that represent the culinary heritage.

When your business gets certified, it is like a stamp of approval - a kind of validation of your good work. Promote your certification so your customers know that we also recognize your excellence!

DETAILED REPORT

Every business receives a detailed PDF certification report from our expert inspector. We are an impartial third party that can help you understand business opportunities that you might have overlooked.
