ABOUT THE AWARD
The Lifetime Achievement Award is the World Food Travel Association's highest individual honor. It recognizes exceptional individuals whose sustained contributions have advanced gastronomy tourism and inspired the global food travel community.
Presented only when a truly deserving candidate is identified, this award celebrates leadership, innovation, mentorship, and a lifelong commitment to strengthening the field. It is not presented annually by default, ensuring that each recipient represents the highest standards of professional excellence.
NOMINATE AN INDUSTRY LEADER
Nominations may be submitted by any individual or organization familiar with a candidate's contributions to the gastronomy tourism industry, including the candidate themselves. Self-nominations are welcomed and are evaluated using the same criteria and review process as all other nominations.
Nominations should demonstrate the nominee's long-term impact on gastronomy tourism through leadership, innovation, research, education, destination development, advocacy, or other significant contributions to the profession.
