In this episode # 40, we’ll be speaking with Yorm Ackuaku . Born and raised in Ghana, Yorm moved to the US for college when she was only 19 years old. After college, she worked primarily in the corporate world, including positions in accounting, finance, business, and consulting. Yorm was pulled into the food world from her experiences living abroad when she realized the limited representation of African foods in major cities and in food media. This discovery inspired her to found esSense 13, a food media platform that amplifies the work of African chefs and food entrepreneurs around the world. She also hosts her own podcast about African-inspired cuisines, called Item 13.

In this episode, number 68, of The Business of Food Travel podcast, we speak with Fred Lizée. Fred is a tourism industry professional from France. He has been working in responsible adventure travel for 15 years, with professional experiences in Europe, Asia and Australia. He is passionate about outdoor expeditions, community travel and disruptive tourism projects. To that end, he created his own competition called the New Explorer Challenge to help train international students on the subject of sustainable adventure tourism. As you probably have guessed, Fred loves to travel and has visited 72 countries already.
